WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

Just 20 minutes from the Sea World Cruises Terminal lies the Humpback Highway – a migration corridor travelled by approximately 45,000 humpback whales each year.

These majestic mammals make their annual journey between the nutrient-rich waters of Antarctica and the warm, sheltered breeding grounds of the southern Great Barrier Reef. From the Gold Coast coastline, you may witness:

* Breaching – whales launching into the air

* Tail-slapping – dramatic splashes as they communicate

* Spy-hopping – peeking out of the water for a curious look at you!
